Kafka Granite, LLC Stone is perhaps man's oldest, most durable, most reliable, and most beautiful building material. It is now possible to acquire all of its benefits without the need for heavy, thick, and expensive walls and foundations. This course explains how natural thin stone veneer can be economically utilized to protect and beautify commercial, institutional, and residential indoor and outdoor surfaces, the varying attributes of different stones, the numerous looks that can be achieved, and the standards that inform their selection, specification, and usage. 60 minutes.

  • Select the most appropriate stones and stone patterns for commercial, institutional, and residential projects.
  • Specify the appropriate tests and standards to ensure a safe, durable natural thin stone veneer installation.
  • Create a wide variety of aesthetically pleasing natural stone veneer applications for various surfaces.
  • Identify and detail the installation method for each stone veneer application.

Faculty BIO

Tiffany Koss grew up fully immersed in her family business, so it was only natural she developed a passion for Kafka Granite's diverse range of crushed stone products from an early age. She started introducing the company's products to architects on her summer breaks in high school and continued working for the company remotely while continuing her education at the University of St. Thomas. With an emphasis on product education, she has played an instrumental role in growing the company's brand and defining its product line. Tiffany now also focuses on the growth of Kafka Granite's sales department as the Director of Sales & Marketing while simultaneously preparing for 2nd generation ownership.
