Runtal North America, Inc. Modern hydronic radiator systems are an energy-efficient, healthy, and hygienic solution for residential and commercial applications. This course discusses the principles of radiant heating and panel radiators, and how to size panel radiators for residential applications. 60 minutes.

Learning Objectives

  • Describe how heat is transferred through conduction, convection, and radiation.
  • Compare convective heating to radiant heating.
  • Describe different types of radiant heating systems.
  • Identify the features and advantages of hydronic panel radiators.
  • Describe the types of panel radiators and identify appropriate applications.
  • Apply rules of thumb to estimate the heat load of a residential room and select the type and size of panel radiator to supply the required heat.

Faculty BIO

Jonathan Wiberg was born and raised in Wilmington, near Boston, Massachusetts. He moved to the coast of New Hampshire in 1995. He currently resides in the beautiful rural town of Brentwood, NH, with his wife Lori and two children. Jonathan enjoys taking advantage of all that the coast and mountains of New England have to offer, from beaches and boating to skiing, camping, and hiking.
